1930

Linn Cooperative Oil Company Established

It all started from a meeting of farmers at the Marion public library, and on July 21, 1930 the first directors of Linn Cooperative Oil Company were elected. The first warehouse was constructed on 7th Avenue in Marion.

1957

Exceed $1 Million in Gross Sales

At the 28th annual business meeting it was reported that sales exceeded $1 million in sales for the first time. The co-op served 4.384 families and led the 7th district in petroleum sales, which had more that 1,700 coops within it.

1975

Construction of Newhall Agronomy Location

The construction of a new Agronomy Center to serve the western side of the Linn Cooperative territory was completed.

1986

Acquisition of Springville Cooperative Elevator

1989

Acquisition of Farmers Elevator of Alburnett

The Farmers Elevator Company of Alburnett was started in 1913.

2008

Exceeds $100 Million in Gross Sales

2021

Construction of Central City Agronomy Location

A new 37 acre site was acquired on Highway 13, south of Central City. A new shop, chemical and liquid storage, and office were built in the first phase of projects for this site. Included were a 750,000 gal UAN storage tank, a 60,000 gal liquid propane pant, and a 60,000 gal NH3 plant.

2025

Construction of C-Street Fuel Plant

A new bulk storage plant, with an intitial capacity of 240,000 gal was constructed on the SW side of Cedar Rapids with easy access to Highway 30 that allows efficient loading and unloading for our delivery trucks.
